Heather Johnson, a Charleston-based photographer who specializes in horse, dog, and people portraits, started our day at The Sandcastle with a short lecture on her shooting experience – mostly with horses (video below).
One group of members then headed to Night Heron Park, to shoot portraits of 4 members with their dogs (and sometimes husbands!), with Heather joining us to offer advice on shooting groups with animals. This very short shoot was followed by a quick lunch at The Nest before Heather headed over to the Seabrook Equestrian Center to meet another group of members to take portraits of the horses for about an hour. The day finished at about 3:30. Members who attended these shoots will send in images which will be presented to the dog owners as a thank-you for modeling for us. Pam Cohen will then lead a review of the images via Zoom at our Oct 30th meeting.
