What’s new in camera’s this year

WHAT’S NEW IN PHOTOGRAPHY?
Every September we begin the photo club year with a meeting to talk about the latest in cameras, equipment, software, and so on. This year we are proposing to do it differently. We would like people who have bought new equipment or acquired new gear of any kind or use new software, or who are considering any of the above, to BRIEFLY discuss it.
The discussion has been broken into four major topics.1. Cameras and lenses: what is new in Nikon, Canon, Fuji, Sony, Olympus, Panasonic? At least two members said they could say a few words about Fuji, Nikon, Canon, and Olympus. Can someone talk about Sony? If you are in the market for a camera, come with questions and comments.
- Gear: Several people have bought new tripods and tripod heads and can discuss what they purchased and why. And what about backpacks? You can never have too many!
- Software: What is happening in the Adobe world? We will talk about the latest with Lightroom and Photoshop, about Luminar, Apple Photos, and Topaz. And there are some great apps such as The Photographers Ephemeris and Photopills.
- People and books: The year of Covid has brought us an avalanche of instructional videos. What ones do you find most useful? Who do you follow for YouTube videos or in Facebook groups?
And finally, we may have a special guest who has been doing supermacro photos of insects and other tiny, tiny things. Super cool photos!
