This is the final SMALL GROUP meeting of the 2021-2022 photo club year!
We have had a number of useful and interesting zoom sessions this year and several workshops in the field. As a wrap-up to the year, I thought it would be good to just get together informally to trade information on a variety of topics of interest.
I propose to meet at the open plaza at Bohicket Marina. There are tables and chairs there and you can get a snack at the Salty Dog. There are interesting things to photograph, and we can look at equipment and get together in small groups to talk about things of interest.
If it looks as though we will have significant rain, we will try to move to the Sandcastle.
Here is a shortlist of photo-related things to talk about:
- 1. Tripods, tripod heads, monopods, Wimberly-type heads
- 2. ND filters and polarizers
- 3. Camera backpacks. (You can never have too many! You need one for a long expedition, another for a short expedition, another for a day-long trip, another for a trip of an hour, …)
- 4. Flash – remote and on-camera
- 5. Multiple exposures. (This was popular in Pam’s workshop.)
- 6. The newest cameras and lenses. (I am amazed at the capabilities of the latest gear .)
- 7. Photo trips. (I have tried booking photo expeditions for this summer and all are full! If you want to do a photo trip somewhere in the world in 2023, book it now.)
PLEASE ADD YOUR OWN IDEAS! BRING ANY EQUIPMENT YOU HAVE FOUND ESPECIALLY USEFUL.
