The Season opened on Oct 2nd with an in-person meeting at The Sandcastle. It was great to see over 30 members attend & greet each other after a very busy summer. An additional 11 members joined us via Zoom! Our first successful hybrid Zoom meeting. Almost everyone was thrilled with the results (a few Zoom participants had trouble with audio – we’re working on it). HUGE thanks to Hayes Looney – the Sandcastle tech wizard who helped me set it up and monitored the meeting for us! Unfortunately, I neglected to record the meeting, so only a few notes here:

Sue spoke about our big-name speakers coming up this year, starting next week with Joe McNally.
Jack talked about his upcoming photo walks & small group sessions.
Joe told us about possible shooting opportunities in December at Birds of Prey.
Linda reminded us of our 2 club parties – one in December for the Holidays, and another for our final meeting in May.
Dick gave us a briefing on the budget & reminded everyone to make out checks to KIPC, not to him personally.
Tina reminded us that Monthly Challenge images need to be

Kimberly then gave us a short review of the John Sanders Scholarship program at Trident Technical College.
Pam sang our praises! Thanks for that Pam!
Sue gave a little history of club early days and reminded us that the club focus is on sharing, learning, fun and finding your niche.
We then said goodbye to our Zoom attendees & continued to a social hour to say hi to old & new friends.
